Learning and Development practitioners in Nigeria must continue to improve on their skills set if they must play effectively in the global learning and development industry, the Director-General, Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) Magodo, Mr. Senukon Olufunmi Ajose-Harrison, has said.
In a presentation titled “Emerging Trends in Learning and Development” at the 23rd Induction of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD), Ajose-Harrison stated that the challenges of the 21st are such that require continuous retooling by learning and development practitioners.
While noting the VUCA characteristics of the 21st Century, he charged practitioners to adapt to changing training technologies and demographics with a view to designing learning and development interventions that would address present-day organisational realities.
He charged the new inductees to uphold the tenets of L and D professionalism and contribute to the development of learning and development in Nigeria.
