What is NITAD?
NITAD is an acronym for Nigerian Institute of Training and Development. It is a professional body of Learning and Development (L & D) practitioners registered in Nigeria to promote the science and practice of training, learning and development nationwide.

Q: When was NITAD Established?
A.The Nigerian Institute of Training and Development was established in 1989 by Human Resource Development (HCD) Practitioners and Researchers. It metamorphosed from the fusion between Nigerian Association of Training and Development (NATAD) and Institute of Training and Development (ITD) U.K Nigeria Branch. It was incorporated as a Company limited by guarantee in 1994. The key objectives of this professional Institute are to improve the practice of HCD in both public and private sectors of the economy in order to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and productivity as well as to promote high professional standards in human resource development, utilization, research and evaluation.
Membership and Registration of NITAD is for who?
Membership and registration of NITAD is open to persons engaged in training, learning & development. The membership is made up of trainers with responsibility for management, supervisory, sales or technical training. It is also open to Training/Technical Institutions, Lecturers, HCD Executives, Consulting Firms, teachers & Admin/HR Managers.
What are the requirements for membership?
Membership of the Institute are in two categories, namely - Individual and Corporate. A1: Membership requirements for Individual membership are; - must meet the educational and professional experience - must submit a completed filled membership form, credentials, an updated CV, a passport photograph, evidence of payment of 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand naira only) for the form. - must attend one day virtual on-boarding seminar and a day physical Induction programme.
What are requirements for Corporate Membership?
1. A registered company name with CAC 2. Submission of a completed/filled membership applicaiton form with company stamp or seal, credentials & updated CV of one of the directors, company profile and CAC Certificate and evidence of payment of 20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand naira only) for the form. - Ready to abide by the Institute's Code of Ethics and Conduct.
How do I obtain the Membership application form:
Membership application forms can be obtained from the National Secretariat of NITAD. The Institute is located within the premises of ITF Ikeja Area Office, 5 Olorunfunmi Street (behind Phillips), Off Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ojota, Lagos or at the Secretariat of our State Branches. Some of the functioning Branches are Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo/Ekiti, Plateau, Rivers/Bayelsa, Kwara and Abuja, each having its office within the states Area Office of Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Or you can call/ send us an e-mail: info.nitad@gmail.com, info@nitad.org, 09037006789.
