1. Fellow (FITD)
Fellowships are awarded to applicants who can demonstrate they are:
- Recognised and acknowledged experts within the Learning and Development community and beyond.
- Continuously seeking to maintain high professional standards.
- Contributing significantly to the advancement of the learning profession.
- Ordinarily be eminently qualified as members of the Institute.
- Recommended for this grade.
- Full Members of NITAD for at least 3 years.
- Financially up to date in subscription payment.
- Active members of the Institute.
- Must be or have been a member of at least 1 committee of the Institute at any level.
Qualification: Applicants would normally hold a minimum 20 years’ relevant post-graduate experience and a recognised qualification. They must have continuously been involved in L&D for more than 10 years and have attained positions of eminence in the practice.
2. Member (MITD)
To become a full Member of NITAD, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have relevant combination of experience to join at Member level:
- Recognised as Learning and Development practitioners.
- Continuously seeking to maintain high professional standards.
- Contributing significantly to the advancement of the learning profession.
- Proprietor/Partner of an incorporated training firm business existing for a minimum of 5 years in L&D roles.
- Senior L&D Officer with a minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in L&D roles.
- Director or equivalent not less than grade level 15 at the Federal and State Government with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in L&D roles.
- Ordinarily be eminently qualified as members of the Institute.
Qualification: Those who possess degrees or other professional qualifications from recognized institutions and have been involved in Learning and Development; a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training.
3. Associate (AITD)
Open to anyone in the Learning and Development profession who wishes to belong to a professional body in the Learning and Development field. To become an Associate of NITAD, applicants must:
- Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training.
- Continuously seeking to maintain high professional standards.
- Associate of an incorporated training firm business existing for a minimum of three 3 years.
- L&D Officer in L&D roles with a minimum of 5 years experience.
- Senior public sector or equivalent not less than grade level 12 at the Federal and State Government with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
- Ordinarily be eminently qualified as members of the Institute.
Qualification: Those who possess degrees or other professional qualifications from recognized institutions and have been involved in Learning and Development; a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training.
4. Graduate
Open to anyone new in the learning and development profession who wishes to belong to a professional body in the learning and development field. To become an Associate of NITAD applicants must:
- Have early roles in Learning & Development/Training.
- Be willing to maintain high professional standards.
Qualification: Those who posses degrees or other professional qualifications from recognized institutions and have been involved in Learning and Development; a minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience in Learning & Development/Training.
